Got some good bug pictures? Share them here.
Having trouble getting a clear picture close up? Try the "macro" setting on your digital camera. It usually looks like a little flower.
Please give it try and if you already know how, please share pictures that aren't copy righted so we can all see what we have in Niagara.
To post pictures: you'll need a "picture host". Example: imageshack.com/ or if you know how to "ftp", most internet providers give you personal web space to use.
Once you've figured out how to upload your pictures to your space or a picture hosting web site, add a picture to your post here by using the following "BB code" but remember to remove the spaces in the following example. If I didn't add the spaces, you wouldn't be able to see the example.
BB code example: [ img ] home.cogeco.ca/~wildniagara/dragon.jpg [ /img ] <--remove spaces and make sure to use [square] brackets only. There is always a slash in the second half of the BB code.
To make it easier you can simply click the "image" button which appears in your tool bar when typing your post. Type or paste your image's [ img]url[/img ] between the brackets. Click the preview button before you post to be sure it worked. It's always better to place your image on a line by itself and not with text or it could end up like this.
One final tip before uploading your pictures to your host site. Be sure to resize them so they don't exceed 640x480. If you try to share big pictures, we'll all have to scroll sideways in order to see the whole thing.
I hope this helps and good luck photographing your insects and uploading them to the internet.
