What is your opinion on the Grizwald type displays people put on their homes and lawns for the Christmas holidays season? Is this an indication that all the media coverage on climate change is falling on deaf ears? Perhaps those who are pressuring Governments to back emissions reductions should focus a little on the GP!
Educate these people! Like the Eldorado's and over packaged goods these Christmas displays are becoming a symbol of gluttony and environmental unconsciousness. We're being asked to reduce energy consumption, buy energy star products and will even be forced to install smart meter's eventually. So why do people still insist on outdoing the Jones' with huge hydro sucking exhibits?
Please post pictures of the ignorance in your neighborhood but please no addresses. Street names are fine. Maybe it's time to embarrass people into thinking green. Climate change is a life and death issue and although these spectacles can be eye candy, they represent a past that has already had dire consequences for our future.
Where are the pretentiousness light displays in your town? What are they thinking?
