Well it looks like the wildniagara concept may be coming to life. A new group is in the beginning stages of forming in Niagara. Their agenda is still getting some fine tuning but the primary purpose so far is networking. The sole purpose of wildniagara.com is to present to the public, organizations that may not be well known and to provide a place to exchange ideas, post events, recruit volunteers, form partnerships, draw attention to causes, create and promote green thinking and so on. The Niagara Environmental Sector Taskforce (NEST) will take wildniagara's idea to the next level using Trillium and other grants, and present it in a professional way. Currently we are looking for interested organizations to come to the table and add input. The plan so far is to build a web portal for interested environmental parties, establish a telephone network and create a volunteer and resource database for participants to use.
If your organization would be interested in attending a meeting or joining such a network please use the following contact info and get an invite to the next NEST meeting.
